Inside the program: Present research findings
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, January 20, 2009
Under Component IV: New knowledge, innovations, and improvements, staff nurses are expected to disseminate research findings. To share the results of a completed research project with peers, present findings at a staff meeting or at nursing grand rounds. Poster presentations are very effective ways to present the results of the project.
Once you have organized the results for a poster or presentation, create a manuscript to share research results externally. Decide on the target audience for the article and review some journals appropriate to the topic and audience. The author guidelines for most journals are either found in an issue of the journal or on the journal’s Web page.
