Inside best practice: Get the word out that you applied!
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, December 30, 2008
It’s not an easy task to notify nursing and nonnursing staff that the hospital applied for ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation. One way you can start letting the organization know about the program is through e-mail. For example, compose an e-mail that says:
Subject: [Insert hospital name] applies for ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation!
Body: We have started our journey toward ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation. This journey enables us to work on improving patient care and satisfaction and enhancing nurse satisfaction. During this time, we will discuss many new ideas and strategies to meet the program’s expectations and to build a culture of nursing excellence.
