Inside the news: 11 healthcare organizations celebrate excellence
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, December 2, 2008
November was a month filled with thanks for 11 healthcare organizations who were honored for achieving ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation or redesignation.
There are 305 facilities who have achieved the nursing excellence award. The following eight are celebrating first-time designation:
- Carondelet Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Kansas City, MO
- Presbyterian Health Care, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville (NC)
- Presbyterian Health Care, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews (NC)
- Presbyterian Health Care, Presbyterian Orthopedic Hospital, Charlotte, NC
- Presbyterian Health Care, Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC
- Sentara Norfolk (VA) General Hospital
- Franklin Square Hospital Center, Baltimore, MD
- Durham (NC) Regional Hospital
Three hospitals achieved redesignation:
- Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH
- The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (PA)
- Carondelet Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, MO
