Inside HCPro's MRP workshop: Save staff time through flyers
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, October 14, 2008
On October 2-3, attendees at HCPro’s Workshop on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) in New Orleans received best practices on how to prepare for the journey toward designation. During the next several weeks, we’ll feature some of the highlights here in the e-newsletter.
This week, we’ll look at spreading the word about evidence-based practice changes:
Nurses are overloaded with classes that detail new policies, procedures, and technology. So save them the anguish of sitting through another class. When the hospital is implementing a new policy derived from an evidence-based practice project, create a flyer detailing the change. Post the flyer in every bathroom—even those used solely by physicians.
