Working at your facility, you know the quality of care your patients receive. People who have never set foot in the front door will now have an easier time knowing, too.
An enhancement to the Hospital Compare Web site will allow potential patients to widen their searches to find the best care. The Web site that gives the public access to information about the quality of care hospitals across the country are providing to adult patients announced last week that it now delivers more data on the performance of 4,000 hospitals, including patient mortality scores for individual hospitals.
Operated by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the site encourages patients to consult their doctors and families to assist them with the retrieved information.
