Inside the Forces: Use these five questions to prepare for the documentation process
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 5, 2008
As you begin your journey toward designation, there are multiple ways to collect evidence for the 14 Forces of Magnetism and write narratives for the sources of evidence. However, to find the processes that fit well within your organization, ask yourself the following five questions:
- Where will the evidence come from? (That is, will specific committees, groups, and individuals submit their stories, will the writers interview staff and leadership, or will writers be responsible for brainstorming sources of evidence?)
- Who will oversee the evidence collection?
- How will you decide which evidence to use and where to include it in the documentation?
- Who will write/edit the narratives?
- Who will edit/proof the final draft?
