Inside the Forces: Exemplify the image of nursing

Nurses are viewed as an integral part of the hospital’s ability to provide quality patient care, as seen in Force of Magnetism 12: Image of nursing. Exemplify your nurses in a positive light with the following ideas:
• Link to the nursing Web page from the hospital home page
- Have a staff nurse present a story (e.g., small story in which nursing made a difference in a patient’s life) during a staff meeting or at an executive team meeting
- Showcase awards won by staff nurses in the lobby for patients and families to view
- Highlight a nurse each month on the intranet site
