Simulation technology has been given a lift by the recent creation of an online resource center, where staff educators worldwide can learn how to institute simulation in the classroom.
The Simulation Innovation Resource Center (SIRC), located at http://sirc.nln.org, was created by the National League for Nursing and allows for dialogue between educators and simulation experts. Funded by Laerdal Medical, a supplier of life-support training products and emergency medical equipment, the resource center includes a number of features such as public forums for sharing information, an annotated bibliography of simulation-related articles, and simulation news and announcements.
Additionally, the center, which was launched on June 12, offers an events calendar that details simulation-related professional gatherings, such as trade shows and academic conferences.
