Promote designation awareness with a booth
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, June 10, 2008
Whether you are pursuing ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation or redesignation, encourage the entire organization to talk about the journey by creating an MRP info booth. Place the booth in a public place, such as the facility’s main lobby/entrance, to promote organization-wide participation and to effectively educate the community. This fun and interactive initiative will help maintain MRP momentum throughout the environment.
If possible, schedule well-informed MRP champions to cover the booth daily during peak hours to target the largest number of people. Provide some sample materials at the booth:
- The hospital MRP newsletter
- A pamphlet that describes the benefits of the program and the program’s standards
- Flyers and posters of any upcoming MRP-related events in the hospital
