Designation: Reaching out to nonnursing staff

Educating nursing and nonnursing staff is important when preparing for ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation. While it is a nursing excellence award, it takes the entire organization to achieve status. The following are three ways you can inform your organization about MRP designation:
- Use town hall meetings
- Present a formal educational program to the hospital board of directors
- Distribute information to all departments
