A Massachusetts hospital has kicked off a forum for multicultural nurses to help improve the care of patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Children's Hospital Boston (CHB) has developed the Multicultural Nurses Forum to help support diversity and culturally-appropriate care. The goal of the forum is for a diverse group of nurses to educate one another and their fellow healthcare workers on the best ways to deliver care to patients from many backgrounds.

Nurses in the forum are planning activities to attract students and staff from diverse backgrounds into the profession, such as "Chat and Snack" meetings for clinical assistants to talk with nurses about their careers and gain information and encouragement.
