Gain designation buy-in from the healthcare team
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, March 18, 2008
If you already have buy-in from nursing staff to pursue ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation, but you're looking to gain buy-in from the healthcare team, let your healthcare team know that an MRP culture means they will:
- Practice in an organization that promotes high-quality care, quality outcomes, nursing research, and evidence-based practice
- Receive encouragement and support to participate in decision-making through councils, committees, task-forces, staff meetings, and focus groups
- Contribute to building and maintaining a strong environment that facilitates departmental collaboration to achieve quality outcomes
