Proposed Joint Commission revisions available for feedback

The Joint Commission has posted the proposed revisions to the Infection Control standards chapter of the ambulatory health care, critical access hospital, home care, hospital, and office-based surgery programs. The proposed changes include moving IC.6.10, which calls for "an emergency management response to an influx of infectious patients," to be incorporated into a proposed chapter on emergency management, The Joint Commission says on its Web site (www.jointcommission.org).
