These issues amount to more than a little frustration. The stress they cause can lead to burnout and even depression. The survey found that two-thirds of respondents experienced the former, and one-third the latter. Hospitalists are among the busiest of physicians, with administrative and leadership responsibilities on top of their clinical work. So how do they cope? Hospitalist Management Advisor talked to two busy hospitalist leaders to learn about their strategies.
