The Journal of Hospital Medicine (JHM), the nation?s first medical journal devoted to research in the field of inpatient medicine, will be included in Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), the National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database.
Larry Wellikson, MD, FACP, chief executive officer of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), is quoted in an announcement on the SHM's Web site as saying, "The Journal's acceptance is a profound recognition that hospital medicine has developed its own sphere of medical knowledge and that hospitalists are making a significant impact on our modern health care delivery system."
JHM's editor-in-chief is Mark W. Williams, MD, FACP, of Emory University.
