New Hampshire begins work on Medicaid system

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services awarded Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) a five-year, $61 million contract to design, create, and install a Web-based Medicaid management information system, Washington Technology reports.
The ACS system will interface with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-compliant application components. ACS will streamline administrative tasks across multiple programs and install the latest version of its Medicaid management information system, Medicaid information technology architecture, and standards-based claims-administration system.
