Physician management structure needed to improve outcomes

To improve the quality of care, physicians must be more engaged and work with nurses and managers, according to a new study, “A physician management infrastructure,” published in the February Journal of the American Medical Association.
Each role—physician, nurse, and manager—has a distinct and valuable knowledge base, states the study. The best patient care would come from those care providers and managers collaborating.
