Maggie Palmer, MSA, CPMSM, CPCS, director of Scripps Centralized Credentialing sent in this medical staff professional orientation plan. Maggie says, “The challenge to even find a qualified medical staff professional is compounded if you bring in a new team member and don’t have a training mechanism to make him or her successful.”
This tool includes the organization’s mission statement, purpose and goals of the orientation, and dates and times for staff meetings. In addition, the orientation document provides a day-by-day plan for orientation during a two-week period. Thanks, Maggie, for sharing!
Want to send us your tools for a shot at winning free registration to The Greeley Medical Staff Institute Symposium in Chicago, June 8-9? Find more details to enter the contest here.
