In the December 31 issue of Medical Staff Leader Connection, we asked whether your medical staff services department is going paperless. Thanks to all who chimed in! It turns out that the majority of you (56%) are cutting down on paper, while 42% don’t have the time, money, or resources to do so. Here is a breakdown of the results:
- Yes, it is good for the environment: 11%
- Yes, it saves us money: 16%
- Yes, there is barely enough room in my office for me anymore: 29%
- No, we just don't have enough time or people to scan old documents: 16%
- No, the medical staff is stuck on old paper systems: 9%
- No, with everything else going on, it's not a priority: 17%
