What would you do with $92 million? According to a Healthcare Financial Management Association article, more than 85,000 physicians and other eligible professionals reported quality-related data to Medicare under the 2008 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), up from 56,700 in 2007. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) paid out a total of $92 million, significantly more than the $36 million it paid in 2007.
