A quick poll on HCPro.com reveals that of 28 respondents, 56% report having three or more employees in the medical staff services department (MSSD). These are encouraging numbers considering that the economic crisis has caused many hospitals to trim their budgets, which often means reducing the number of employees. Below is a breakdown of the results:
- 39%: 4 or more employees in MSSD
- 28%: 2 employees in MSSD
- 17%: 3 employees in MSSD
- 14%: 1 employee in MSSD
