Letter from the editor: Blogging live from SHM annual meeting
Hospitalist Leadership Connection, May 12, 2009
Like many of you, HCPro and HospitalistLeadership.com will be attending the Annual Society of Hospital Medicine seminar in Chicago on Friday. We’ll be reporting from the conference hall and exhibit floors to deliver the latest news and analysis.
What’s different this year? For the first time in SHM’s history, the annual meeting is sold out. SHM also added bonus tracks to accommodate the number of registrants and to address the current swine flu outbreak.
Thinking back to my days of blogging live from the Consumer Electronic Show and reporting from the White House, there is nothing like the thrill of shaking hands with thought leaders and in-person interviews.
How am I preparing? I am researching, writing, and organizing my schedule to attend every session that I can (without being in two places at once). Please feel free to say hi to me at the conference; I’ll be the one running around with a camera and taking notes!
Read the latest updates on HospitalistLeadership.com and follow me on Twitter. I’ll see you at SHM in Chicago this week!
