Video: Roger Heroux to talk about hospitalist finances at HCPro seminar
Hospitalist Leadership Connection, August 12, 2008
Roger Heroux, MHA, PhD, CHE, founding partner of Hospitalist Management Resources, LLC, in San Diego, CA discusses the financial needs of hospitalist programs in an audio interview with HCPro, Inc. “We deal with a lot of programs that become dysfunctional and start imploding,” said Heroux. “The information we’ll be presenting will discuss how to continue to grow and expand a fourth-generation hospitalist program…to make sure there is appropriate financial and clinical data so the hospital clearly understands the economical impact of continuing to support a program,” he said. Targeting expanding programs, Heroux discussed the importance of strong compensation models and reimbursements to hospitals.
The seminar is sponsored by Hospitalist Management Advisor and HCPro, where Heroux will be speaking. Watch the 5-minute video clip here.
