After a three-week trial, Mabel and Sal Mangano owners of the Lousiana nursing home where 35 residents died in post-Katrina flooding, were acquitted of the negligent homicide charges, reported The Washington Post. The couple is now facing more than 30 civil lawsuits filed by victims' families. Jurors found the Manganos not guilty of 35 counts of negligent homicide and 24 counts of cruelty to the infirm.
