AANAC forms nurse executive association

The Denver-based American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators is expanding its mission by creating a brand new professional organization to meet the needs of nurse executives. The American Association of Nurse Executives (AANEX) will provide nurse executives with the education, networking, and credentialing necessary to help them achieve in long-term care leadership and management, according to an AANEX press release. AANEX will also provide information on:
- Leadership and management
- Survey, enforcement, and compliance strategies
- Clinical protocols and standards of practice
- Human resources information including preparing staff for success and retaining high-quality staff
- Quality assessment and assurance processes
- Risk management
- Budgeting
- Oversight of the RAI/MDS process
- Assessment and care planning
