Study finds that nursing homes need high priority during disaster response
Contemporary Long-Term Care Weekly, September 6, 2007

Hartford Foundation cited in Health Affairs. The study, Establishing and Refining Hurricane Response Systems for Long-term Care Facilities, found that nursing homes need more evacuation help, and should be placed at the top of the priority list when it comes to restoring electricity and phone services, along with providing police protection.
