Median salaries for nursing home managers on the rise

The national median salary for directors of nursing at nursing homes is $72,515, up 5.2% from 2006's figures. Assistant directors of nursing at nursing homes saw a 4.9% rise, to $60,022 median. That's according to the 2007-2008 AAHSA Nursing Home Salary and Benefits report, published by the Oakland, NJ-based Hospital and Healthcare Compensation Service. The annual report, which this year compiled data from 2,500 facilities nationwide, also cited a national median salary increase of 3% for administrators, to $82,400.
