Salary survey for CCRCs puts director median near $118K

Executive directors at United States continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) earn a median salary of $118,675. That's according to the Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service's annual Continuing Care Retirement Community Salary and Benefits Report. The report also included data for nursing home administrators within CCRCs, stating administrators earn a median salary of $84,000.
The increases for CCRC executives and nursing home administrators are 4.9% and 7%, respectively, from 2006 numbers. More than 400 CCRCs participated in the study.
