CMS issued revised F-Tags

CMS issued the revised guidelines for F-Tag #329, Unnecessary medications and combined F-Tag #425 through F-Tag #431 into F-Tag #425 Pharmacy services, F-Tag #428 Drug regimen review, and F-Tag #431, Labeling and storage of drugs and biologicals. The revised F-Tag #329 clarifies several aspects of medication management and includes a new medication table. The medication table lists problematic medications for nursing home residents. F-Tags #425, #428, and #431 are updated guidelines for the distribution system for pharmaceutical services. The guidelines are effective December 18, 2006, stated a CMS memo.
