CMS sharing dementia pilot tools

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have shared the revised survey tools used in their dementia care survey pilot in 2014, that focused on the process for prescribing antipsychotic medications, and its expansion in 2015. The move comes after feedback from stakeholders and partners of the national Partnership to Improve Dementia Care in Nursing Homes. The intent is that facilities would use these tools to assess their own practices in providing resident care.
