In February, President Obama signed into law the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012, which included an extension to the physician fee schedule payments and the therapy cap exceptions process. The law prevents a 27.4% cut in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and freezes payment rates at their current amounts through December 31, 2012.
