Don't let ADRs slip to the ­bottom of your to-do pile

So much time is spent getting each month's claims out the door and then dealing with all the payer updates, system changes, etc., that the last thing anyone wants to deal with is an Additional Documentation Request (ADR) from your fiscal intermediary (FI) or Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). But ignoring ADRs or putting them off until you have time to address them is only going to pose bigger problems down the line, says Randy Kozeal, owner and manager of LTC Midwest, LLC, in Wilber, NE.
