CMS recently added more training materials to their MDS 3.0 Training Materials Web page. Now, under the downloads section of the page, there are additional slide presentations from the August 2010 MDS 3.0 National Train-the-Trainer Conference. These slide presentations can be found in the zip file labeled “MDS 3.0 Training Slides December 2010.zip.” Also, the following videos have been posted to YouTube and are also available in the downloads section of the Web page:
- Section O Special Treatments, Procedures, and Programs
- Individual clips of the interviews included in the Video on Interviewing Vulnerable Elders (VIVE): Interview Techniques, Preferences, Cognition, Mood, Self Harm 1, Self Harm 2, and Pain
In addition, CMS published Appendix F of the RAI User's Manual on December 17. Appendix F contains the MDS 3.0 Item Matrix, which provides information about which items are required for each assessment type as well as what the items are used for. Appendix F is included in the December 2010 version of the RAI User's Manual found in the downloads section of CMS' MDS 3.0 Training Materials Web page.
