ADL updates: Get the details on Section G of the MDS 3.0

The activities of daily living (ADL) are a critical component of resident care. They gauge the level at which residents are able to carry out basic, everyday tasks. Those various levels help determine Medicare reimbursement amounts. As a result, the correct documentation of ADLs is one of many vital SNF nursing staff responsibilities.
The October implementation of the MDS 3.0 amplifies the importance of proper ADL documentation and coding as MDS coordinators and members of the nursing staff need to be aware of the ADL changes in Section G of the new assessment tool.
