Late afternoon on Wednesday, May 26, CMS posted updated versions of certain sections of the RAI User’s Manual for the MDS 3.0. These revised sections are as follows:
- Section I – Active Diagnoses
- Section L – Oral/Dental Status
- Section N – Medications
- Section P – Restraints
CMS also posted a revised MDS 3.0 implementation timeline, as well as MDS 3.0 training slides and instructor guides, which can be found under the downloads section of their Web site.
According to the CMS Web site, “these files will be updated frequently and each update to files will reflect the date the file was last updated. Listserv notices will be sent via the SNF/LTC Open Door Forum listserv when updates are made to this page.”
Stay tuned to MDSCentral for further analysis of the revised sections of the RAI User’s Manual and the training tools.
