The fourth annual National Long Term Care Symposium, scheduled September 14 at the Russell Senate Office Building from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (EST), will include two panels and a handful of speakers, according to StreetInsider.com.
The topic of panel one, “The Long Term Care Workforce,” features presentations from leaders in the caregiving industry. The second panel, “Policy Options for Family and Paid Long Term Caregivers,” consists of insight from individuals representing U.S. Senators and Representatives. Howard Gleckman, senior research associate at the Urban Institute, will moderate the Genworth Financial event, which aims to highlight the need for long-term care improvements during Washington’s current healthcare reform debate.
