No one is safe from the effects of the global economic crisis, but SNFs can minimize the financial effect of reduced government funding by establishing a profitable billing system for certain Medicare Part B supplies.
The current economic instability is wreaking havoc on many industries, and healthcare is no different. SNFs, the majority of which are already underfunded, struggle against shrinking budgets. Billing for Part B supplies is a great way to increase a facility’s revenue stream. “It is now more important than ever for facilities to utilize the Part B benefit,” says Karen Connor, director of business operations at Landmark Health Solutions in Haverhill, MA.
