Mild dementia on the rise

Contemporary Long-Term Care Weekly, July 31, 2008

A more mild type of mental decline, which often precedes Alzheimer’s disease, is becoming more common than predicted, according to new research, reported Time.com.

Additionally, studies are now showing about a million aging Americans are making a shift from normal memory capability to mild memory impairment each year, reported doctors at a medical conference this week in Chicago.
