Senators oppose Medicare cuts

Contemporary Long-Term Care Weekly, July 31, 2008

A regulation that would cut $770 million for fiscal year 2009 is causing 47 U.S. Senators to weigh in with the White House to urge Administration to stop the cuts from occurring, according to an American Health Care Association (AHCA) press release.

The existing Medicare policy, which an independent analysis proves saved the Medicare program an estimated $709 million, will be significantly affected if this new regulation is passed.
