Fight against Alzheimer’s gains support

Retired Justice Sandra Day O’Connor urged Congress to speed research and help to fight Alzheimer’s, according to CNN.com.

 

O’Connor has a personal stake—her husband suffers from the illness. She stepped down as the first female Supreme Court justice in 2005 to take action for her husband’s deteriorating condition. She applauds Congress for passing legislation that bans discrimination on genetic testing for diseases such as Alzheimer’s, which may affect insurance eligibility. To read more, visit CNN’s website.
