Editor’s note: This is the first article in a two-part series on Medicare meetings that examines why they are important and who should attend. Part two will review the meeting agenda and keys to success.
From a regulatory perspective, skilled nursing facilities (SNF) are under no obligation to hold Medicare meetings. In other words, a state surveyor won’t cite a facility with an F-tag because the interdisciplinary team failed to hold regular Medicare meetings.
