Risk of Alzheimer’s reduced with generic painkiller

A study in the US shows that the use of ibuprofen is likely to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's, according to BBC News.

Data showed that out of 250,000 veterans, those who used ibuprofen for five years were more than 40% less likely to develop the disease. A study in Neurology showed other painkillers to have similar effects. However, dementia experts warn against the use of ibuprofen for this cause, as previous studies show conflicting results.
