OIG requests comments on compliance program guidance revisions

Contemporary Long-Term Care Weekly, January 31, 2008

Last week, the Federal Register posted a notice seeking comments from nursing homes in regards to the Office of Inspector General's (OIG) revision to the compliance program guidance (CPG) for nursing homes. Nursing homes who receive Medicare, Medicaid, and Federal healthcare program funding are especially urged to submit comments. Since the CPG was first published in March 2000, nursing homes have experienced a number of changes in the area of compliance.

If you would like to submit suggestions to the OIG, go to  http://www.regulations.gov.
