CMS revises exhibits to the State Operations Manual
Contemporary Long-Term Care Weekly, December 13, 2007
CMS has conducted a comprehensive review of the exhibits to the State Operations Manual (SOM) and added, deleted, or revised several of them.
Exhibits include model language for official CMS correspondence and notices, official CMS forms, reporting formats and worksheets, and supplemental guides for instructions in the SOM chapters and the appendices. As a result of the review, CMS is revising the online SOM (i.e., Internet-only Manual, Pub. 100-07) by:
- Deleting obsolete exhibits
- Updating and standardizing model language
- Adding new exhibits
- Adding hyperlinks to the CMS Web site for exhibits that are forms
CMS is also reviewing the
