Several weeks after a survey, your facility will receive a formal written report of the survey findings in the mail. The report will list the deficiencies and must be posted in a prominent location. The facility is given a designated amount of time to correct deficiencies. At this time, administration must submit a written response, or a plan of correction, to the survey agency. The plan of correction for resident-centered deficiencies must state:
-
How the deficiencies identified for specific residents will be corrected
-
How the facility will identify other residents having the potential to be affected by the same deficiency practice
-
What measures will be taken to make sure the deficient practice will not recur
-
How the facility will monitor its corrective actions to ensure the deficient practice does not recur
