AstraZeneca and Bristol-Myers Squib to pay $13.6 million

AstraZeneca and Bristol-Myers Squib have been ordered to pay a combined $13.6 million for allegedly inflating the average wholesales price of their medications.
U.S. District Court Judge Patti Saris ruled that the companies "unfairly and deceptively caused to be published false" average wholesale prices of drugs. According to Saris' ruling, AstraZeneca must pay $12.9 million and Bristol-Myers Squibb must pay $695,594 in damages.
