Medtronic marketing investigated

Medtronic became the fourth major manufacturer investigated for improperly marketing its bile duct stents, according to an AdvaMed article.
According to the article, Medtronic received a subpoena in late June around the same time as Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, and Abbott Laboratories. The U.S. Attorney in Massachusetts is trying to determine whether the companies promoted the bile duct stents for unapproved use in blood vessels.
