J&J under investigation for bile duct stent marketing

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) became the latest company to reveal that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating how it markets bile duct stents, according to a New York Times article.
Cordis, a J&J subsidiary, received a subpoena in June from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts, J&J revealed in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Abbott Laboratories, Ev3, Inc., and Boston Scientific have all revealed that the DOJ is investigating whether suppliers are illegally marketing the stents for unapproved uses.
