Pfizer discloses grants online

Saying it is “committed to the principle of transparency,” Pfizer is following Eli Lilly’s lead and posting a list of $10 million in grants and charitable contributions the company made to U.S. medical, scientific, and patient organizations during the first quarter of 2008.
The list of grants and donations appears on Pfizer’s Web site and will be updated quarterly. According to the report, Pfizer donated between $500 and $3.4 million to more than 340 organizations.
