Almost one fifth of physicians won't see sales reps
Pharma Compliance Alert, January 30, 2008
Nineteen percent of office-based physicians refuse to see pharmaceutical and medical device sales representatives, according to a new survey by SK&A Information Services, Inc.
An additional 22% of physicians require sales representatives to make an appointment. The survey found some physicians also limit the days and times they will meet with sales representatives.
SK&A initially interviewed 180,000 physicians and plans to continue the survey until it has contacted all 656,000 practicing physicians in its database.
